Free Entry Level 1 Maths Course in Pickering. Classes run at Atmosphere Centre for Young People, part-time during the day. This is a free maths course for adults aged 19 or over who want to build their maths skills and gain a maths qualification without sitting an exam. You must not already hold an Entry Level 1 or higher maths qualification to be eligible. The course runs over 55 hours at a manageable pace, making it practical to fit around other commitments.

This course is for people who want to improve their Maths skills and gain a qualification in Maths without having to take an exam.You must not have a current Entry 1 level or higher qualification.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including counting, ordering, and simple calculations.

This is a classroom-based course with no formal exam. You'll be assessed through portfolio evidence and practical tasks completed during your classes. Your tutor will guide you through activities and check your progress as you go. You'll have an initial assessment before you start so the centre can confirm this entry level maths qualification is the right fit for you.
