Free ESOL Skills for Life: Speaking and Listening course in Pickering. Classes run at Atmosphere Centre for Young People, part-time during the day, over 22 weeks. The course builds your spoken English and listening skills for everyday life and work. You'll also develop your understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Classes run at a manageable pace, making them practical if you have caring responsibilities or other daytime commitments. You'll need to be 19 or over to be eligible for funding; the centre will check any further eligibility at enrolment.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Atmosphere Centre for Young People. Learning is delivered face to face, with activities focused on speaking and listening practice. Assessment is through spoken tasks and listening activities that reflect everyday English use. Your tutor will work with you throughout the course to support your progress.
