About this course

Level 2 Construction Operations and Civil Engineering - Construction Operations Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You train in your job role, building skills on site while you earn. Learning is flexible, combining work-based activity with classroom sessions to fit your role and your employer's needs. You'll have individualised mentoring and support throughout. The course typically takes 3 months. A level 2 construction operations and civil engineering - construction operations qualification gives you a recognised record of your practical competence.

This qualification will provide you with occupational competence and knowledge of Construction Operations and/or ‘licence to practice’ as well as evidence to apply for your Blue – Skilled Construction Skills Certification Schemes (CSCS) card.

How you will learn

This is an NVQ, so assessment is based on evidence of what you do in your job. An assessor will observe you working on site and review a portfolio of evidence you build up over the course. Learning combines on-the-job activity with flexible classroom sessions. You must be 16 or over to enrol. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm the qualification is the right fit for your role.

The centre will provide most materials. Canary Wharf Learning Centre will confirm anything else you need before you start.
