About this course

Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You study while you're in your job role, applying what you learn directly on site. The course covers the skills and knowledge needed to supervise construction work effectively, and typically takes 6 months. Training can be blended to fit your organisation's needs, combining workplace learning with classroom sessions. You must be aged 16 or over to enrol. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm the Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) qualification is the right fit for you.

This qualification will provide you with occupational competence and knowledge of Occupational Work Supervision and/or ‘licence to practice’ as well as evidence to apply for your Blue – Skilled Construction Skills Certification Schemes (CSCS) card. Learners will gain knowledge on managing health and safety, work activities and resources, coordinating and organising work operations confirming occupational methods of work, developing and maintaining working relationships.

How you will learn

This is a work-based qualification, so most of your learning and assessment happens in your actual job role. You'll be observed carrying out supervisory tasks on site, and you'll build a portfolio of evidence showing your competence. Training can be blended, combining on-site learning with classroom sessions. You'll receive individualised mentoring and support throughout.
