Free Level 3 Sport and Physical Activity Course in Burton-on-Trent. Classes run at Burton Town Centre Campus, full-time over one year. You'll spend two days a week on sport sessions and one day on a year-long work placement in the sport and leisure industry. The placement gives you hands-on experience alongside your classroom study. You'll organise events, deliver sports coaching sessions, and carry out performance analysis using industry software. Entry requires a minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above, or a Level 2 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths, plus a successful interview and initial assessment.
Who this course is for
This course is designed to hone and improve the skills required for the Public Services. These include leadership and teamwork, physical fitness, outdoor and adventure expeditions, crime and its effects on society, command and control in the uniformed Public Services, planning and management of major incidents, custodial care services and land/water-based navigation.
Entry requirements
Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 3 programme) or Level 2 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 2 programme (progressing learners).
