Free Level 2 Retail Operations Course. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around your work and home life. The course covers customer service, the retail selling process, health and safety in retail, consumer law, stock control, payment systems, and handling customer complaints. It also explores how individuals and teams contribute to a retail organisation's success. You'll need to be 19 or over as at 31st August before the academic year starts, and hold at least a Level 1 qualification in English or Literacy. The course runs to around 134 hours in total.

This qualification can be used to update and continue your professional development, (CPD), and to develop knowledge/skills relevant to the occupational specialisation. It is suitable for anyone who works, or is hoping to gain employment, in this field.
Entry requirements
You will need to be aged be 19+ as at 31st August prior to the start of the current academic year. You will also need to have at least a Level 1 qualification in English/Literacy or equivalent. To assist in completion of this qualification, it may help to be working in, or have access to, the chosen sector. If you already have a higher-level qualification in this specialism, it may impact on your eligibility.

How you will learn
You study online, working through course materials at your own pace. Assessment is through written assignments and knowledge-based tasks that you complete and submit online. There are no exams. You work through the units independently, and your work is assessed against the qualification criteria set by TQUK.
What you will need to bring
The centre will provide most materials. Boston College Skirbeck Road will confirm anything else you need before you start. Having access to a retail workplace may help you complete some parts of the course, though it is not a formal requirement.
