About this course

Free Level 2 Personal Exercise, Health and Nutrition Course. Study online, at your own pace, from anywhere. This free personal exercise, health and nutrition course takes around 12 weeks to complete. You'll explore how diet, physical activity, and motivation affect your health. The course covers anatomy basics, energy needs, fluid replacement, and how to plan safe exercise and nutrition routines. You'll finish with the skills to assess your own fitness and build a personal plan.

Who this course is for

The course is aimed at anybody who wants to expand their knowledge and understanding of health, well-being and exercise, including the role of nutrition in exercise and planning for personal exercise and nutrition.

The course will provide a deeper understanding of factors that affect personal motivation and basic anatomy and physiology as well as energy requirements and fluid replacement for exercise and the importance of exercising safely.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding, you must live in England and have resided in the UK or EU/EEA for the last 3 years, must be aged 19 or over, must not have previously studied the course you are applying for or another similar course and must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded education programme. If you are aged between 19 and 23 - you must hold a full level 2 qualification If you're not eligible for funding, you can purchase the course online if you are over the age of 16.

How you will learn

You study entirely online, working through units at a time that suits you. The course is delivered via an e-learning platform. Assessment is through written assignments and activities completed online. You'll have access to tutor support throughout. On successful completion, you receive a digital certificate.
