About this course

Free Level 2 Mental Health First Aid Course. Study online. You can work through the course at your own pace, fitting study around your existing commitments. Over 8 to 12 weeks, you'll build a solid understanding of mental health conditions, the factors that contribute to mental ill health, and how to support people in a range of settings. No previous experience of mental health first aid is needed. You'll need access to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to complete the work.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding, you must live in England and have resided in the UK or EU/EEA for the last 3 years, must be aged 19 or over, must not have previously studied the course you are applying for or another similar course and must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded education programme. If you are aged between 19 and 23 - you must hold a full level 2 qualification. For this course, learners must have appropriate access to Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint.

The course is delivered entirely online. You study through an e-learning platform, working through written materials and activities at your own pace. Assessment is through written assignments completed in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. Your work is submitted online and marked by qualified tutors who provide feedback throughout.
