Free Entry Level 3 Maths Course in Selby. Evening maths classes run at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service, so you can fit study around work or other commitments. This free maths course for adults covers number, measure, and data skills without a formal exam. The course runs for 10 weeks part-time. You'll need to be 19 or over and not already hold an Entry Level 3 or higher maths qualification. You'll finish with a City and Guilds Certificate in Mathematics Skills (Entry 3).

This course is for people who want to improve their Maths skills and gain a qualification in Maths without having to take an exam.You must not have a current Entry 3 level or higher qualification.

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
You'll understand fractions and simple percentages in everyday contexts.
You'll use money and make calculations involving prices and change.
You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll measure length, weight, capacity, and temperature using common units.
You'll tell the time and work with dates and simple timetables.
How you will learn
Learning takes place in a classroom at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service. There is no formal written exam. Assessment is through coursework and practical tasks completed during the course. You'll build a portfolio of evidence showing what you can do across number, measure, and data topics.
