Free Entry Level 3 Maths Course in Harrogate. Classes run at Harrogate Civic Centre, part-time during the day, over 10 weeks. The course is designed for adults who want to improve their maths skills and gain a maths qualification without sitting a formal exam. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you. You must not already hold an Entry Level 3 or higher maths qualification. Funding is available if you're aged 19 or over.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll use fractions and percentages in everyday contexts.
You'll measure length, weight, capacity, and time.
You'll handle money and work out basic calculations involving cost and change.
You'll solve straightforward problems using number and measure.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Harrogate Civic Centre. Assessment is through portfolio or coursework rather than a formal exam. Your progress is assessed through the work you produce during the course, so there's no end-of-course exam to sit.
