This course is for people who want to improve their Maths skills and gain a qualification in Maths without having to take an exam.You must not have a current Entry 3 level or higher qualification.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at

What you will learn

  • You'll measure length, weight, capacity, and time.

  • You'll solve straightforward number problems step by step.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based sessions with a tutor. Assessment is portfolio-based rather than exam-based, so you build up evidence of your skills as you go. The provider confirms there is no formal exam for this qualification. Your tutor will guide you through tasks and activities that form part of your assessment.
