Free Entry Level 1 English Course in Selby. Evening english classes run at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service, so you can fit study around your week. You'll work on reading, writing, speaking, and listening at Entry Level 1. The course runs for 55 hours part-time. There's no exam; you're assessed through coursework instead. You must not already hold an Entry Level 1 or higher English qualification to be eligible.

This course is for people who want to improve their English skills gain a qualification in English without having to take an exam.You must not have a current Entry 1 level or higher qualification.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment

You'll learn in a classroom at Selby Adult Learning and Skills Service during evening sessions. Assessment is through coursework and portfolio evidence rather than a formal exam. Your tutor will observe your progress and support you throughout.
