Free Entry Level 1 Functional Skills English Course in Saltburn-By-The-Sea. Classes run at Redcar & Cleveland Adult Learning at Temperance Square, Loftus.

The course runs part-time during the day, over 20 weeks. You'll build core English skills including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. There are no entry requirements. You'll complete an initial assessment before you start, so you join the right level.

You'll finish with a Functional Skills Qualification in English at Entry Level 1.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements, but we ask all learners to complete an initial and diagnostic assessment before the course starts so we can enrol you on the right level.

How you will learn

You'll learn in a classroom with a tutor and other learners. Sessions are part-time and run during the day. Assessment is through tasks and activities that reflect real everyday English use. There is no formal written exam at Entry Level 1. Your tutor will track your progress throughout the course.
