About this course

Level 2 Floral Design Course in Falmouth. Classes run at Falmouth Adult Education Centre, part-time during the day, over 20 weeks.

The course builds your skills through hands-on experimentation with materials and ideas. You'll explore a range of techniques, research artists and makers, and develop your own creative approach. Sessions move from initial experiments through to planned, finished pieces. You'll build a portfolio of work as you go.

You'll finish with an NCFE Level 2 Award in Creative Craft.

Who this course is for

This course will extend and develop your knowledge of drawing and painting through tuition on a range of techniques. We encourage you to research into artists and makers, within the context of the medium you are using, to inform how techniques and ideas can be explored.

Sessions focus on experimentation with ideas and materials being used creatively, before planning and producing final pieces of work. Throughout the course you build a portfolio of work which will include experimental preparation work, final pieces and working notes.

Important:

  • Your portfolio of work will need to stay at the centre until after external moderation has taken place.
  • The certificate for this qualification will have the generic title of NCFE L2 Award in Creative Craft.

Please be aware that this course is a generic qualification used to deliver this specific subject. However, it is also used to deliver other subjects and for this reason learners who do more than one arts or crafts course at the same level may not be funded or certificated for the subsequent course(s). Cornwall Adult Education will carry out checks for each application and will contact learners if there is an issue.
