This is a broad course where we cover a number of different drawing and painting techniques including, for example, charcoal, pastels, watercolours and acrylics. Each activity will have a different focus including tonal shading, colour mixing, direct observation, and expressive mark making.
You will learn how to develop ideas creatively through exploration. This will help you plan and produce focussed projects. Throughout the course you build a portfolio of work which will include experimental work, final pieces and working notes.
Important:
Please be aware that this course is a generic qualification used to deliver this specific subject. However, it is also used to deliver other subjects and for this reason learners who do more than one arts or crafts course at the same level may not be funded or certificated for the subsequent course(s). Cornwall Adult Education will carry out checks for each application and will contact learners if there is an issue.
