This is a broad course that includes a number of different skills. These skills include techniques such as wire and bead work, enamelling, copper work, mould making and casting. The focus in this course is designing, making and finishing work. Throughout the course you will make a number of finished pieces to simple design briefs. Alongside this you will keep working records of designing and making information and Health and Safety considerations.
Please be aware that this course is a generic qualification used to deliver this specific subject. However, it is also used to deliver other subjects and for this reason learners who do more than one arts or crafts course at the same level may not be funded or certificated for the subsequent course(s). Cornwall Adult Education will carry out checks for each application and will contact learners if there is a funding issue.
