Develop your creative skills and your understanding of the exciting world of creative crafts. Learn how to build a portfolio of samples using different techniques including preparing the clay, and using coil, slab and throwing techniques. You will also learn glazing and firing techniques. The focus is on being creative with designs and then progressing into planning and making pieces of your own creation. Throughout the course you will build a portfolio of samples, 3D work and notes.
Please be aware that this course is a generic qualification used to deliver this specific subject. However, it is also used to deliver other subjects and for this reason learners who do more than one arts or crafts course at the same level may not be funded or certificated for the subsequent course(s). Cornwall Adult Education will carry out checks for each application and will contact learners if there is a funding issue.
