About this course

Level 2 Wood Occupations (Construction) Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You train while you work, building carpentry skills on the job over two years. The course is free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, paid by you or your employer. You'll cover site first and second fixing, structural carcassing, basic building construction, and an introduction to woodworking machines and portable power tools. You must be employed in the industry to enrol. This level 2 wood occupations (construction) qualification is assessed through study packs, practical pieces, and module tests.
