Level 3 Wood Occupations (Construction) Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You train while employed in the construction industry, building advanced joinery skills on the job over 12 months. The course may be free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply, paid by you or your employer. You'll work with woodcutting machines and portable power tools, making and assembling complex joinery products including frames, cabinets, windows, doors and stairs. Workshop sessions and study packs support your practical work. This level 3 wood occupations (construction) qualification is delivered through NOCN.

How you will learn
Training is workshop and study based, carried out alongside your employment. You'll complete study packs, produce practical joinery pieces, and sit module tests throughout the course. There is also an end test. Assessment covers both your practical skills and your knowledge of wood occupations in construction.
