Free Level 2 Joinery Course in Bristol. Classes run full-time during the day at Ashley Down Centre. This free joinery course takes one year to complete. You'll develop the practical and technical skills used in wood occupations and construction joinery. The course covers the knowledge and hands-on work that employers in the trade expect. Entry requirements include at least three GCSEs at grade D or above, including English and Maths, plus an initial assessment at the centre.
Who this course is for
Our apprenticeships give learners industry recognised qualifications and the practical skills they need to become successful employees in the trade. Throughout the two year apprenticeship, your trainee will learn job specific skills whilst working with you and also obtain training at the college. You will need to employ them and they must receive the national minimum wage of 3.30 per hour.

How you will learn
You'll learn through a combination of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based study at Ashley Down Centre. Assessment is through an NVQ-style portfolio of evidence, demonstrating your competence in real joinery tasks. You'll also complete knowledge-based assessments alongside your practical work. A college assessor will observe and evaluate your skills throughout the course.
