Free Level 2 Dementia Care Course. Study online. You can start at any time and work through the material at your own pace, making it easy to fit around existing commitments. Over 16 weeks, you'll build knowledge of what dementia is, how it affects people, and how to provide person-centred support. Units cover dementia awareness, communication with individuals who have dementia, and the role of carers in promoting wellbeing. No formal qualifications are needed to enrol.

Who this course is for

This qualification aims to provide you with the vital knowledge needed to begin tackling dementia through understanding what it is and how to support those who are affected by it.

It also ensures that you will develop an essential understanding of caring for people with dementia, as well as covering the benefits of positive communication and the importance of individualised, person-centred care.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be aged 19+.

Please note: All students will need to complete an Initial Assessment before being enrolled onto the course.
