You'll finish with a Highfield Level 1 Award in Retail Knowledge.

Who this course is for

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace or for learners who are looking to develop their knowledge and understanding to obtain employment within the sector, perhaps as checkout operators or sales assistants.

Entry requirements

Learners ideally need to be employed or have a work placement where they are able to apply the knowledge for this qualification but this qualification may also be undertaken as part of a pre-employment programme. A basic Literacy & Numeracy assessment will need to be undertaken prior to enrolment to ensure suitability for this programme.

  • You'll understand how retail businesses operate and what customers expect.
  • You'll learn how to deliver good customer service in a retail setting.

  • You'll develop knowledge of stock handling and store procedures.
  • You'll understand health, safety, and security responsibilities in retail.
