Free Entry Level 2 English Course in Northallerton. Classes run at Skipton Adult Learning & Skills Service, with daytime sessions that fit around other commitments. Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment
What you will learn
You'll develop your reading skills, understanding everyday texts and short documents.
You'll practise writing clearly for everyday purposes, such as notes, forms, and short messages.
You'll build your speaking and listening skills in everyday situations.
You'll learn to follow and give simple instructions and information.
You'll work on spelling, punctuation, and grammar at Entry Level 2.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom setting with a tutor, working through reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities. Assessment is ongoing and portfolio-based rather than a formal exam, so your progress is recorded through the work you produce during the course. This is a part-time, daytime course running over 55 hours in total.
