Free Entry Level 2 English Course in Ripon. Classes run at Ripon Community House Ripon, part-time during the day. The course is designed for people who want to improve their English skills and gain an english qualification without sitting a formal exam. You must not already hold an Entry Level 2 or higher English qualification. Over 55 hours of classroom-based learning, you'll build your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills at a manageable pace.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment

You'll practise writing clearly for common everyday purposes.
You'll improve your speaking and listening skills in familiar situations.
You'll learn to use punctuation, spelling, and grammar more accurately.
You'll build confidence in following and giving simple instructions.

How you will learn
Learning takes place in the classroom at Ripon Community House Ripon. The course is assessed through portfolio-based tasks and practical activities rather than a formal exam. You'll complete tasks that reflect everyday English use, and your work is collected as evidence toward the City and Guilds Certificate in English Skills (Entry 2).
