Level 4 HNC in Operations Engineering. Study online at your own pace, fitting learning around work and other commitments. The course takes around one year to complete. It covers engineering principles at higher education level, equivalent to the first year of a university degree. You'll need a relevant Level 3 engineering qualification or relevant work experience to enrol. The minimum age is 18. If your maths hasn't been studied to Level 3, a bridging course is recommended before you start.
Who this course is for
BTEC Higher Nationals are internationally recognised higher education qualifications at levels 4 and 5 that are equivalent to the first and second years of a university degree. They provide learners with an affordable, vocational route to completing a degree, upskilling or employment. These courses are fully accredited by Pearson. This course is the ideal choice for you if:You want an affordable, fast-track, and guaranteed route towards the third and final year of an Engineering degree-related BA/BSc degree You are employed, do not have the time to go to college or university, and, therefore, need a more flexible route up the ladder. You currently work in an Engineering sector and want to upskill and progress in your role.
Entry requirements
A pre-requisite to gaining entry onto the HNC is to have a relevant level 3 qualification in engineering OR relevant work experience in the engineering. For those who have not studied up to level 3 in Maths, it is strongly recommended that you consider adding on the Bridging Maths course, learners may be required to complete a bridging course(s) before gaining entry onto an HNC/D. Age requirement: the minimum age requirement for this course is 18.
