Level 3 NVQ Business and Administration Course. Work-based training at your workplace, so you learn while you earn.

The City and Guilds NVQ business and administration qualification takes around 18 months to complete. Mandatory units cover communication, principles of business, and personal and professional development. You then choose optional units to match your job role, such as managing a budget, chairing meetings, or supervising a team. You'll need to be working in an administration role with some supervisory responsibility. A City and Guilds fee of £179 applies.

You'll finish with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business and Administration.

Who this course is for

This qualification is designed to enhance your existing skills and provide you with the knowledge and confidence to excel in your role.

You will develop skills in supervising others and contributing to the wider strategy of your department or organisation, gaining greater technical, administrative and managerial knowledge in the process. Depending on your job role and the units you choose to undertake you could gain skills in areas such as managing information, team supervision and project management.

Entry requirements

You will ideally have five GCSEs at grades A*-C (or 9-4) or have already undertaken the NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration. You will also need to be employed within an administration role in a supervisory position.

There are no classroom attendance requirements.

The College of Animal Welfare will confirm anything you need before you start. You will need to be in an employed administration role with supervisory responsibilities, as your workplace is central to how you are assessed.
