What you will learn

  • You'll learn how to shampoo, condition, and treat the scalp and hair.
  • You'll practise cutting women's hair using a range of techniques.
  • You'll develop skills in colouring and lightening hair.
  • You'll learn how to style and finish hair using tools and products.
  • You'll understand how to consult with clients and assess their hair and scalp.
  • You'll follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in a salon environment.

How you will learn

You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in the classroom. Assessment is a mix of practical observation and written or oral questioning.
