Who this course is for

An Operations or departmental manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organisations strategy. They are accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities and job titles will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same. Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.

How you will learn

Assessment follows the ST0385 version 1.2 end-point assessment plan. It includes a project proposal, project-based evidence, and a questioning component. The questioning component covers specific skills from the standard, including skills 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, and 3.1. All assessment is conducted online. Highfield acts as the end-point assessment organisation (EPAO) and implements the assessment plan as approved.

What you will need to bring

The Vocational Academy will confirm anything you need before you start. As this is a work-based apprenticeship end-point assessment, you will need to be employed in a relevant operations or departmental management role, or have your training provider step in as employer where applicable under the dispensation arrangements.
