Your day-to-day work is the training ground: an assessor comes to you, observes you on the job, and builds evidence of your competence. The course typically takes 9 months. Entry requirements

Candidates must already be working in the construction industry as a Plant Operator. Candidates must also be over the age of 19 as of August this 2020.

How you will learn

All assessment is workplace-based. Skills cannot be simulated; evidence must come from your real work environment. An assessor will observe you carrying out your normal duties and work with you to gather evidence through observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies, photographic evidence, site evidence, and knowledge questions. Everything is managed through the Learning Assistant e-portfolio system.
