Free Level 2 Plant Operations (Construction) Course. Work-based training at your workplace. You must already be working as a plant operator in the construction industry and be aged 19 or over to enrol. This level 2 plant operations qualification is assessed entirely through your day-to-day work over around 9 months. You build a portfolio of evidence from real tasks on site, supported by an assessor. It leads to supervisory and management training for those who want to progress.

Entry requirements

Candidates must already be working in the construction industry as a Plant Operator. Candidates must also be over the age of 19 as of August this 2020.

How you will learn

All assessment takes place in your workplace. Evidence is collected and managed through the Learning Assistant e-portfolio system. Your assessor observes you carrying out normal work activities and confirms you meet the required standard. Assessment methods include observations, witness testimonies, professional discussions, site evidence, photographic evidence, and knowledge questions. Skills cannot be simulated; everything is assessed in a real working environment.
