Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice,further eligibility may be linked to where you live and your individual income.
What you will learn
You'll set up and navigate a Sage accounts system for a business
You'll process customer invoices, credit notes, and receipts
You'll process supplier invoices and payments
You'll reconcile bank accounts using computerised records
You'll produce basic financial reports from Sage
You'll understand how double-entry bookkeeping works in a computerised system
How you will learn
You'll study through a combination of classroom sessions and guided practice using Sage accounting software. Assessment is based on practical tasks completed within the software, demonstrating that you can carry out real accounting processes accurately. Your tutor will support you through each stage. The course runs over 8 weeks at a part-time daytime pace.
