About this course

Free Functional Skills Maths Level 2 in Rotherham. Daytime classes run at CTS Training (Manvers - Rotherham). Or 19-24 with an Education, Health Care Plan, have evidence that you legally reside in the UK, are you a school leaver who didnt quite get the grades when you left school at or before year 11 or sixth form or college? No matter how well you did prior, we can help you get where you want to be on a CTS Study Programme to help you gain the qualifications & confidence you may need for the future.

What you will learn

  • You'll work with whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and percentages in practical contexts.
  • You'll use ratios and proportional reasoning to solve real problems.
  • You'll interpret and construct charts, graphs, and tables.
  • You'll calculate with measures including money, time, length, weight, and capacity.
  • You'll use basic algebra and formulae to find unknown values.
  • You'll analyse statistical data and understand probability.
  • You'll apply maths to everyday situations such as budgeting, planning, and measurement.

How you will learn

You'll study in a classroom at the centre, with structured sessions during the day. Learning is flexible, so the pace is shaped around where you are when you start. Assessment is by a written exam set and marked by City and Guilds. You'll sit the exam when you and your tutor agree you're ready. There is no coursework component at Level 2.
