Free Entry Level 3 Maths Course in Scarborough. Classes run at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, part-time during the day, so you can fit study around other commitments. Over 10 weeks, you'll build your maths skills and gain a recognised maths qualification without sitting a traditional exam. This entry level maths course covers practical number skills used in everyday life and work. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you.
Who this course is for
This course is for people who want to improve their Maths skills and gain a qualification in Maths without having to take an exam.You must not have a current Entry 3 level or higher qualification.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
You'll understand fractions and simple percentages in everyday contexts.
You'll read and interpret straightforward charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll use measures, including length, weight, capacity, and time.

How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Scarborough Adult Learning and Skills Service, with a tutor guiding you through each topic. Assessment is through coursework and practical tasks rather than a formal exam.
