Free Entry Level 3 English Skills course in Malton. Classes run at Malton Adult Learning and Skills Service during the day, part-time, making it manageable alongside other commitments. You'll build your reading, writing, and communication skills without sitting a traditional exam. The course runs for 55 hours in total. To be eligible, you must be aged 19 or over and must not already hold an Entry Level 3 or higher English qualification. To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment

You'll spell common words correctly and use basic punctuation.
You'll listen and respond to spoken information in everyday situations.

How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Malton Adult Learning and Skills Service. Assessment is portfolio-based rather than a formal exam, so you'll be assessed on work you produce during the course. This may include written tasks, reading activities, and evidence of speaking and listening. Your tutor will guide you through each stage.
