Free Entry Level 2 ESOL Skills for Life: Reading course in Telford. Classes run at Learn Telford. Sessions are part-time and daytime, so you can fit study around family or other commitments. Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. You'll have a short assessment before you start to see which is the right level of course for you

The course is free if you are: Unemployed or you are employed and earn less than £25,750 annual gross salary

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August of the Academic Year for which they are enrolling

What you will learn

  • You'll read and understand everyday written texts, such as signs, notices, and short messages.
  • You'll identify the main points in simple written information.
  • You'll understand the meaning of common words and phrases in context.
  • You'll follow written instructions and directions.
  • You'll recognise how texts are organised and what they are for.

How you will learn

Classes are classroom based and run part-time during the day at Learn Telford. You'll work through reading tasks and activities with a teacher and other learners. Assessment is through tasks that test your reading skills at Entry Level 2. Your teacher will guide you through what you need to do to complete the Award.
