You'll be complete a skills assessment to determine the level of the course at which you need to begin.
What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
You'll understand and use simple fractions and percentages.
You'll read, measure, and compare lengths, weights, capacity, and time.
You'll handle money and work out basic costs.
You'll read and interpret simple charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll solve straightforward maths problems in everyday contexts.
How you will learn
You'll study in a classroom at Learn Telford, with a tutor guiding you through each topic. Learning is hands-on and practical, using real-life contexts to build your maths skills. Assessment is through a written external test set by City and Guilds. You'll also complete on-screen or paper-based tasks depending on the assessment format used.
