Free Entry Level 2 English Course in Catterick Garrison. Classes run at Catterick Library & Information Centre, part-time during the day. The course is designed for adults who want to build their English skills and gain a qualification without sitting a formal exam. Over 55 hours of daytime english classes, you'll work through reading, writing, speaking, and listening at Entry Level 2. You'll have an initial assessment to confirm this is the right level for you.
Who this course is for
This course is for people who want to improve their English skills gain a qualification in English without having to take an exam.You must not have a current Entry 2 level or higher qualification.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment
What you will learn
You'll read and understand short, straightforward texts.
You'll write simple sentences clearly and accurately.
You'll practise speaking and listening in everyday situations.
You'll use correct punctuation and spelling at Entry Level 2.
You'll follow and give simple instructions and information.
You'll build confidence in using English for everyday tasks.
How you will learn
You'll learn through classroom-based sessions at Catterick Library & Information Centre. Learning is assessed through portfolio evidence and tasks rather than a formal exam. You'll complete written and spoken activities that show what you can do. There is no end exam for this qualification.
