Free Entry Level 1 Maths Course in Harrogate. Classes run at Harrogate Civic Centre, part-time during the day. Entry requirements

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August in the current academic year and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at

What you will learn

  • You'll handle basic addition and subtraction in everyday contexts.
  • You'll recognise and use simple shapes and measurements.
  • You'll read and interpret straightforward number information.
  • You'll apply maths to practical, real-life situations.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based activities at Harrogate Civic Centre. Assessment is through portfolio or coursework tasks rather than a formal exam. Your progress is assessed as you work through the course, so there is no end exam to sit.
