Free Entry Level 1 Maths Course in Northallerton. Classes run at Northallerton Adult Education, part-time during the day. The course runs for 55 hours in total, so you can fit it around other commitments. You'll build your maths skills and gain a maths qualification without sitting a formal exam. No current Entry Level 1 or higher maths qualification is required to join. You must be 19 or over as at 31 August in the current academic year to be eligible for funding.

What you will learn
You'll work with whole numbers, including counting, ordering, and simple calculations.
You'll handle money in everyday situations, such as adding up costs and giving change.
You'll read and use simple measurements of length, weight, and time.
You'll recognise and describe basic shapes and patterns.
You'll read simple charts, tables, and graphs.
You'll solve straightforward maths problems using the skills covered in class.
How you will learn
You'll learn in a classroom at Northallerton Adult Education, working through activities and exercises at a manageable pace. Assessment is through portfolio-based tasks and practical activities rather than a formal exam. Your tutor will track your progress throughout the course and support you as you work toward the City and Guilds Certificate.
