Level 4 IQA Course in Derby. Classes run at Derby College, part-time during the day, with 1-to-1 tutorials arranged flexibly to fit around your work and other commitments. The course runs over 45 weeks. You'll develop the skills to lead internal quality assurance, allocate and monitor the work of other IQAs, and contribute to your organisation's assessment policies and procedures. Entry requirements apply, including a relevant Level 4 IQA Award or enrolment on the relevant units, plus current experience in a vocational or subject specialism.
Who this course is for
This programme of study develops your knowledge and skills in leading the internal quality assurance of assessment (IQA), allocating and monitoring the activities of other IQAs to ensure that standards are maintained to a high level and that assessors’ and students’ needs are met. You will have the opportunity to develop and improve your practice and achieve a recognised professional qualification. The course will be delivered through 1-1 tutorials on a flexible basis to suit your needs. Learning is delivered through 1-to-1 tutorials on a flexible basis. Your assessor uses blended methods, including Microsoft Teams sessions and face-to-face workplace visits. This approach lets you apply your learning directly in your own working environment. Assessment is work-based, drawing on your practice as a lead IQA within your organisation.
What you will need to bring
The centre will provide most materials. Derby College will confirm anything else you need before you start. You will need to be in a current role where you can contribute to IQA activities and access a qualified Lead IQA for support.
