About this course

Level 3 Assessor Course in Derby. Classes run at Derby College, part-time during the day over 20 weeks. You'll need to be working with at least two learners who are completing a work-based qualification, as the course is built around assessing real practice in your own setting. Workshops and one-to-one tutorials run on a flexible basis. An assessor will also visit you in your workplace every three to four weeks to support your evidence collection. This level 3 assessor qualification is for people already working in a training or assessment role.

Who this course is for

How you will learn

Learning is delivered through workshops and one-to-one tutorials at Derby College, with workplace visits from your assessor every three to four weeks. You'll build a portfolio of evidence drawn from your own assessment practice. Your countersigning Assessor or Mentor and a qualified Internal Quality Assurer will support you throughout. An interview is required before you start.

The centre will provide most materials. Derby College will confirm anything else you need before you start. You will need access to at least two learners completing a regulated work-based qualification, an allocated countersigning Assessor or Mentor, and a qualified Internal Quality Assurer in your subject area.
