Level 3 Assessor Course. Study online at your own pace with Brooks and Kirk, fitting your learning around work and other commitments. The course is designed for people who are already occupationally competent in their field and want to assess others, whether in a workplace, workshop, training centre, or classroom. You'll need to be working in, or have access to, the vocational area you plan to assess. The course typically takes 6 months to complete.

Who this course is for

This is a practical-based qualification intended for learners 19 years and over who would like to be able to assess both occupational competence in the workplace, and work related skills in a training environment such as in a workshop, training centre or classroom. The course will give you the knowledge and skills required to assess work related learning to the required industry standards.

Entry requirements

You'll need to be occupationally competent in the work related area that you would like to assess in.

What you will learn

  • You'll learn how to plan and carry out assessments of occupational competence in the workplace.
  • You'll learn how to assess work-related skills in a training environment such as a workshop or classroom.

  • You'll learn how to make assessment decisions and provide feedback to learners.

How you will learn

You study online, working through the course material at a pace that suits you. Assessment is practical and evidence-based. You'll build a portfolio of evidence drawn from your real assessor practice, demonstrating your competence in assessing both workplace performance and work-related skills in a training setting. You'll also complete written questions to show your knowledge and understanding of assessment principles.

What you will need to bring
