About this course

Level 2 Nail Technician Course in Sheffield. Classes run at The White Rose School of Beauty Sheffield, daytime in a salon setting. Funding options are available and will be discussed at interview, so fees may or may not apply depending on your circumstances. You'll develop the practical knowledge and skills needed to work as a junior nail technician in a commercial salon. The course runs over 156 hours. Who this course is for

This qualification has been specifically designed for learners aged 16 or over, and will develop the knowledge and skills to prepare learners for employment as a junior nail technician. It is also for learners seeking to work in and develop their skills in a commercial setting and can only be delivered by colleges that have or have access to a salon and not a realistic working environment.

Entry requirements

Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 1 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.

  • You'll apply and finish gel, acrylic, and natural nail treatments.
  • You'll carry out manicure and pedicure services to a commercial standard.

  • You'll develop the professional skills needed to work with clients in a commercial environment.

How you will learn

You'll be assessed through a combination of practical observations in a salon environment and written or online knowledge assessments. Your competence in nail services will be observed directly by an assessor. You'll build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your skills and knowledge across the units covered in the qualification.
