About this course

Level 3 Makeup Artistry Course in Sheffield. Classes run at The White Rose School of Beauty Sheffield, during the day on a flexible timetable. Various funding options are available and will be discussed at interview, so fees may or may not apply depending on your circumstances.

The course covers the skills and knowledge needed to work as a make-up artist. You'll study skin analysis, colour theory, bridal and fashion make-up, special effects, and client consultation. Around 180 hours of study make up the full programme.

You'll finish with a VTCT Diploma in Make-Up Artistry at Level 3.

Who this course is for

This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years and over and will support you to gain employment as a make-up artist, as the units contained in the qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

Entry requirements

Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy or Make-up and/or a successful skills test and interview. You must be 16 or over to do this course via apprentice routes or 19 and over to complete this course via access to Advanced Learner Loans.

How you will learn

You'll learn through practical, hands-on sessions in the classroom. Assessment combines practical observations, where your technique is assessed directly, with written assignments covering underpinning knowledge. You'll build a portfolio of work throughout the course. Entry is via a previous Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy or make-up, or through a skills test and interview.
