What you will learn
You'll develop cutting techniques for a range of hair types and styles.

You'll carry out styling and finishing using a variety of tools and products.
You'll follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in a salon environment.
You'll learn how to shampoo, condition, and treat the hair and scalp.
How you will learn
You'll learn through practical work in your salon, supported by on-programme assessment. Assessment includes observation of your work by an assessor, a portfolio of evidence, and an end-point assessment. Your progress is reviewed throughout the 24-month programme. You'll be assessed on both your practical skills and your knowledge of hairdressing theory.
