About this course

Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition Course in Brent. Classes run at JFS School, full-time during the day over two years. It's free for some learners, and fees may apply for others. A 16 to 19 bursary may be available to help with costs. You'll need five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 to apply. The course is designed to sit alongside other Level 3 qualifications such as A levels. You'll study the science of food and nutrition and apply your knowledge to real-life situations in food manufacturing, healthcare, sport, and education.

How you will learn

You'll learn through classroom-based lessons at JFS School. Assessment combines written examinations and non-exam assessment (NEA) tasks, where you apply your knowledge to practical scenarios. NEA work is submitted to WJEC by set deadlines each year. The qualification is assessed at Level 3 and awarded by WJEC.
