Level 3 Counselling Course. Study online with York Learning over 30 weeks. This course is funded for learners in the York and North Yorkshire area. If you live outside that area, fees may apply, and your local adult education provider may be able to help. You'll need to have completed a Level 2 counselling skills qualification, such as the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate, or something equivalent, before you start. This level 3 counselling qualification builds on that foundation. It covers the theory, ethics, and self-awareness that underpin professional counselling practice. It does not qualify you to work as a counsellor, but it prepares you to move on to a professional training course at Level 4. Study fits around your schedule, with no need to travel to a centre.
Who this course is for
This qualification is for candidates who have already acquired a level of knowledge and understanding in counselling skills from completing the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate (or equivalent) and wish to continue their training. It will not qualify you to be a counsellor, but it will prepare you to progress on to a professional counsellor training course such as the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
