Over one year of full-time daytime study, you'll build practical woodworking skills across first and second fixing, carcassing, circular saw operation, and carpentry maintenance. The course is predominantly hands-on, using fully equipped workshops with industry-standard tools. If you're 16 to 18, you'll need a Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery to join. Adults aged 19 and over go directly onto the Level 2.

You will benefit from fully equipped workshops with industry standard equipment, and tutors, who have a wealth of industry experience, to help you get to grips with this fast-paced industry. You can focus on either carpentry or bench joinery.

If you are aged 19+ then you will go direct onto a Level 2.

If you have not achieved your maths and English to GCSE Grade 4, you will study for these alongside this course.
