About this course

Free Level 2 Site Carpentry Course in Birmingham. Classes run at Solihull College and University Centre Woodlands Campus, full-time during the day. You'll build on Level 1 carpentry skills, covering structural carpentry, domestic repairs and maintenance, decorative finishes, kitchen fitting, and health and safety. Half your time is spent in the carpentry workshop; the other half is classroom-based. The course takes one year to complete. Entry requires a Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery, plus Maths, English, and IT at Level 1 or above.

Entry requirements

All assessments are carried out by qualified assessors against the qualification standard. You'll need to pass every practical and theory assessment to complete the Diploma.
