Level 2 Patisserie and Confectionery Course in Darlington. Classes run full-time at Darlington College, five days a week during the day. The course runs for 34 weeks. It may be free if you're 16 to 18 years old. If you're 19 or over, fees may apply. You'll develop professional skills in pastry, baking, and confectionery work, covering the techniques used in professional kitchens. The course suits those with little or no experience, as well as people already working in hospitality who want to specialise.

Entry requirements

The most common entry route is through successful achievement of Level 1 Introduction to the hospitality industry, together with appropriate maths and English skills. Direct entry from school is possible where you have achieved 4 or more GCSEs at 3 points or grade D or above (including English). However due to the practical nature of this course you may be asked to undertake practical assignments to support your application.
